Various Pedal-Powered Parade Floats, 1997 – Present

First Night Parade Floats, 1998-2005

In 1998 Sean M. Monaghan received a grant from the First Night Santa Cruz committee to build a Parade Float and have ‘Live Mannequins’ in storefronts. This family-friendly New Year’s Eve party sold over 20,000 Buttons annually for entertainment, food, parades and fireworks on Pacific Avenue from 1994-2005.

Downtown Mini-Golf, 2018

12 Artists were asked by the Santa Cruz Downtown Association to create custom Mini-Golf courses for local businesses. This is a miniature version of the Boardwalk’s Giant Dipper Rollercoaster. Once a player putts the ball into the hole, it can be cranked up the incline, where it will roll down and around the rest of the track. Fabrication assistance from Anastasia Oleson.
